Tour Description
I will meet you at your hotel in the morning around 8:30 am. We will first visit Tiananmen Square , Strolling round the large square is very enjoyable where you will see Beijing ancient and modern elements : the outside of the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower, Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, National Museum of China, the Tiananmen Tower .
Tiananmen Tower leads to Forbidden City . It is the best-preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world ,It was served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center for about 500 years. visiting time will be 2 hours .
For Lunch, I will recommend local chinese restaurants as you prefer
After lunch, have an excursion to Mutianyu Great Wall .Mutianyu Great Wall is located 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Beijing City. It is the most beautiful section of the all 5 major sections of the Great Wall around Beijing,less crowded than Badaling Great Wall with its natural scenery. Mutianyu Great Wall once served as the northern barrier defending the capital and the imperial tombs. the mountain around this section has dense woods and rich pastures ,it has a beautiful landscape all the year round.
In the evening ,you are free to choose local nice restaurants for your dinner ,and see the evening show: Kungfu show ,Acrobatic Show, Peking opera!
Travel Tips
1.all the tourists have to enter Forbidden City from its southern gate and exit from its northern gate, which is a one-way south to north travel route.
2. Forbidden City is closed on every Monday
3. Entrance tickets to Forbidden City is needed to buy online in advance and require your passport or ID Card.
4. Taking chairlift to the Great Wall ¨C reach the 6th Watchtower,hiking towards west to Watchtower No 1. then back to the Cable Car Station where you can take a toboggan/Cable Car down)
5. Taking cable car up to the 14th Watchtower and walk east to the Watchtower No 23 ,then return to the Cable Car Station and take a Cable Car down
